The Frame Size 10 Multiphase Pump

The newest generation of Multiphase pumps is specially designed for high capacity as well as high pressure applications. The Frame Size 10 Multiphase Pump has shown its reliability with over 20 pump systems in operation worldwide.

After more than 20 years of successful experiences in a wide range of oil- and gas field applications Multiphase Boosting has become a proven technology.

The Bornemann Multiphase Pump is a twin-screw pump with external bearings and timing gears and is designed to be suitable for the various operating conditions.
It is Bornemann’s philosophy to have always a kind of flexibility to broaden the performance envelope in case the real reservoir data are different from the forecasted ones.

With the Frame Size 10 Multiphase Pump Bornemann designed a pump generation which operates properly under a wide range of field conditions. The enlarged pump casing can handle multiphase flows up to 4.500 m3/h. The Frame Size 10 pump is available in various designs. The pumps are handling GVF’s up to 99,9% and differential pressures up to 100 bar.

2.5 MW Test Field

With all Multiphase Pumps a full load pump performance test will be conducted in accordance to the relevant test procedures Such a test will be performed to ensure the guaranteed performance and quality capabilities of the pump under load conditions.

All Frame Size 10 Multiphase Pumps will be tested on Bornemann’s standard 2.5 MW test field, where the pumps are installed to an electrical test motor including torque measurement, piping, flow meters of test loop and instruments. The test field is equipped with the necessary cooling equipment and high pressure separators for a real unique multiphase test. If required a long term test is possible on this test bed.

System Assembly
With our system assembly facilities we are able to supply complete multiphase pumping systems, completely pre tested and suitable for plug and pump arrangements.

Multiphase Pump System
Typically the skid mounted pump and motor arrangement is equipped with all necessary instrumentation and a PLC based control system. All functions of the pump system together with the electrical drive system with motor, variable frequency converter and transformer cabinets will be pre tested in our factory. A system factory acceptance test prior to shipment is our standard procedure.
